Coccidioidomycosis or Valley Fever is a fungal infection caused by inhalation. This fungus can be found all over the southwestern United States as well as Central America and South America. Valley Fever causes a coin sized lesion anywhere on the body followed by increasingly severe symptoms. If you had exposure to an endemic area or are feeling symptoms we recommend getting tested for Valley Fever as soon as possible.
