Our T-4 Free test measures the level of the hormone thyroxine in the blood, or T4. Thyroxine is another hormone created by the Thyroid gland. This is often ordered after abnormal levels are found in a TSH, or Thyroid Stimulating Hormone test. This testing is conducted in the treatment and diagnosis of thyroid associated disease.
